Jerk-style grills, island sides and a boutique selling small goods on the side. CHIKTAY calls itself Dakar's first Caribbean kitchen, and the Corniche des Almadies location makes it an easy sell for a night out.
A live band plays most weekends. The closed terrace was built with families in mind, and crêpes are on the menu for anyone skipping the spice. The owners also cater events and rent the space out, so it's as much a party venue as a dinner spot.

Okay, I fell in love with their crepes back in 2017 during my first trip to Senegal. I am back now and the crepes are still on point. I love the tandoori savory crepe and the sweet crepes don't disappoint. I will come here every time I come to Senegal.

Visited today, can't believe I'd missed it the last year of living here, Always skipped on by as it looked closed in favour of the restaurants with sea views, what a mistake! Lovely coffee and delicious sweet crêpes. Will be back soon. Menu photos accurate Dec '21.

Very cute spot with a nice atmosphere and tasty crêpe. The burgers were also good but very small fries portion.
