Yiso
Chuncheon Opened Opening date unknown
Coffee by day, wine and steak after dark
Yiso's name means something like "a calm pool," a place to pause, and the Onui-dong space really does live two lives. Filter coffee and brunch fill the daytime; once the sun drops, it turns into a wine bar and bistro. The steak and the beef pasta finished with cold-pressed sesame oil are the dishes people keep bringing up.
This is a date-night and celebration spot more than a random weeknight stop, with a wine list built for anything from a first date to an anniversary. Yiso also opens up for private tastings, bridal showers and birthday parties alongside its regular run as a neighborhood wine bar.
Good to know
- It switches identity through the day: filter coffee and brunch until early evening, then a wine and dining bar after dark.
- It hosts occasional private tastings and small events, including space rentals for birthdays and anniversaries, so it's worth asking if you want to book the room rather than just a table.
