The island's original ice cream parlour hits the east coast

Fifteen flavours rotate through the counter here, plus waffles and coffee if ice cream alone won't cut it. The lineage goes back to 1949, when Piccadilly Café first started scooping and built the reputation as Sri Lanka's original parlour.

The brand has spread across the island since, but Dockyard Road marks its first stop on the east coast. Trincomalee finally gets a taste of the original.

Picaddily Parlour is a must-visit ice cream spot in Trincomalee! The interior has a premium, cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for a date night. If you’re visiting with your girlfriend or boyfriend, don’t miss this place. The ice cream selection is amazing, with unique flavors like Mango, Cotton Candy, and Chocolate Mint. Every flavor we tried was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The overall experience, from the ambiance to the quality of the ice cream, was excellent. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a sweet treat in Trincomalee!

One of the things I remember most about Piccadilly Parlour wasn’t just the ice cream it was the kindness. The young lady at the counter made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. She had such a warm smile and a wonderful attitude. What I appreciated most was that she never seemed to say “no.” Whatever we asked, she genuinely tried her best to make it happen, and that level of customer service is something you don’t come across every day. And then there’s the ice cream! I don’t think I’ve ever stood in front of so many flavours wondering which one to choose. There really is something for everyone, and every scoop we tried was delicious. It’s the little things that make a place memorable, and for me, it was the people as much as the food. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Trincomalee.

We came every days to try all the flavors. The staff is always smiling and very kind!! I recommend to come, at least, to try one flavor! Also, we took two really good waffles!

Great ice-cream especially after diving or hot activities. Highly recommend the mango and passion fruit one. It is so refreshing!
