Chez Jolie's wine bar sibling, since renamed and expanded

Bâtard opened as La Petite Soeur, a wine bar next door to sister restaurant Chez Jolie on Nybrogatan, on November 9, 2024, from Stureplansgruppen under Mikael Einarsson. About a year later the bar was renamed Bâtard and given a broader food programme under head chef Max Duhs, putting cooking on equal footing with the wine list rather than treating it as an afterthought.

Simon was very good and nice. 10/10 The cuisine was very good. 10/10 Divine oysters. 10/10 Cavan very good. 10/10 A great pinot from California 10/10 The tartare had very good potato crisp 9-10/10 The crudon with char was good with a good sauce for 9.5/10 The pasta was good with a shrimp flavor that was very good but large ravioli pillows could have probably taken it even further 8/10 Lots of large olives were enough for a company all evening 7.5/10 The charcuterie was quite nice 7.5/10

At Bâtard, the service is heaven sent, each pour of wine feels decadent. The menu sings, the room divine, the pasta melts, the candles shine. But darling, let’s be frank and true, the real main course is pouring you 🤭

Festive and lively restaurant, with classic dishes in a new twist. Service was good, and above all the menu and dishes were very well composed and well prepared. We tried most of the menu, from the famous lobster pasta to the French sausage, oysters gratin with xo sauce, pounded beef fillet, croquettes and French toast with miso caramel sauce. Very nice all in all, and perfect for the company that wants to treat itself to a festive evening with a bit of flair!
