Tribal Cafe

Open seven days a week, no exceptions

Tribal Cafe opened in Arusha on July 13, 2025, with a short "coming soon" campaign built around one line: "doors are wide open, 7 days a week." That's the whole pitch. It's a coffee shop for brews and pastries, nothing fancier.

Seven-day hours matter more than they sound in a city where cafes often close on Mondays or Wednesdays without warning. Tribal picked its lane and stuck to it.

Beautiful café with nice and comfortable seating area outside. Coffee and drinks are good with reasonable prices. WiFi available.

we had a delicious tuna, avocado sandwich and a lovely mixed salad. The staff were lovely and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere with plants and scenery and other people! Highly recommend for a lunch stop on a day out

Visited Tribal Café in Arusha and had a mixed experience. The coffee was good definitely the highlight and worth going for. Unfortunately, the patties were disappointing and didn’t live up to expectations. Service was also very slow, which took away from the overall experience. Nice atmosphere, but a few things could definitely be improved.

Lovely selection of good food, drinks, and even a few desserts. But the service is terrible. Everything takes an extremely long time and requires multiple requests and reminders. I came here nearly every weekday for over 3 months. I thought that this was just the normal state of affairs until one day the service was fantastic. Instead of waiting an hour and a half, I only waited 20 minutes for my food and drinks. I later realized that the owner had visited that day. So clearly the staff here is capable of working efficiently, but chooses not to do so. If you've got a few hours to kill, enjoy yourself.
