Football, cold beer and kitimoto on Bagamoyo's main road

Next Level Bar sits on Bagamoyo's main road, a straightforward bar and restaurant built for watching football over a cold beer. In August 2024 it added a dedicated cocktail bar and started booking live music nights, moving past the sports bar basics that built its regular crowd.

It isn't chasing destination restaurant status. The kitchen sticks to grilled plates that pair well with a match on the big screen, but Next Level is one of the few spots in town that reliably serves kitimoto, Tanzanian style roast pork, and that keeps people coming back.
