Rooftop drinks with the crater rim in view
Gran Vachellia opened in 2026 in the middle of Karatu town, a hotel with a rooftop bar, conference space, a spa and a gym. The rooftop bar is the part people talk about: cocktails and wine with the crater rim on one side and the town spread out on the other.
It's aiming to be Karatu's first real business and events venue, hosting safari industry meetups and corporate off sites instead of just overnight guests. It's new enough that word hasn't traveled far, so for now the rooftop is easy to get a seat on.
