Café Ben Ayed opened on April 20, 2025 in Ain Mazouz, a residential part of Tabarka inland from the port, across from the district school. FiTabarka, the town's community Facebook page, announced it with a promise of a quiet room and traditional Tunisian coffee, not the tourist menus near the port.

It has stayed a local spot. No menu photos circulate online, and reviews are still thin months after opening. It's the kind of café locals default to, not one built for visibility.
