Gölbucks Konak

City-run café in an old stone house below the castle
Tea for 5 lira, eclairs for 10, coffee that never breaks 45. Gölbucks Konak is a municipal café chain out of Şehitkamil, and this branch sits in a restored stone Antep house just under Gaziantep Castle.
It's not a private business, and the pricing gives it away before the setting does. The building itself is the real thing though, thick stone walls and a view toward the citadel. Locals come for the prices, tourists for the address.

The place has a very unique, historical, and authentic atmosphere. The prices are excellent, and in terms of taste, we tried all the desserts and pizza, and they were all delicious. Compared to the prices, I think it's a great place. For the price of just dessert at similar cafes, we easily ate three desserts here, plus drinks. Kudos to those who thought of it and put in the effort. The ease of access is also a plus.

Overall, the coffee is good, with a good amount of milk. The iced coffee is also drinkable. Generally, the prices are mostly reasonable. The tea wasn't bad either. However, I found the desserts very simple; they're edible, but nothing special. They're edible, but I didn't particularly like them. The orange juice was a bit bitter, but not so bitter that it was undrinkable. I bought a sandwich; the price was reasonable, and it's delivered daily, but the bread didn't seem very fresh to me. It would also be better if it had tomatoes and peppers inside.

Prices are a little more expensive than free. The coffees are of very good quality. The place is spacious, and the staff are polite.

It's practically free, a very nice place. 3 desserts, 1 slice of pizza, water, and coffee for 350 TL.

It just opened, and we went out of curiosity, but it was extremely crowded; we couldn't find a place to sit. The prices are very good. The types of people who come here are a bit strange; they wait around for you to leave, so be careful. The cleanliness isn't great.
