Dangotte De Café opened on Portal Road in 2024. It's the Entebbe branch of a small chain that started in Mbarara. The menu jumps around on purpose: smoothie bowls next to tacos next to lasagna, with coffee running all day. The room is arty on purpose. Mismatched furniture. Local paintings on the walls. It doubles as a spot for small networking meetups as much as breakfast.

It's turned into a working spot for the laptop crowd near the airport, thanks to decent wifi and a kitchen that won't rush you out after one coffee. Weekends bring a livelier mix: families in for the smoothie bowls, students camped out with headphones in.
