Fine chocolate and fairway views at Emirates Golf Club

Skip the mall coffee shops. This one sits over the fairways at Emirates Golf Club, a boutique café and chocolaterie built around Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno and his Maison Alléno & Rivoire chocolate house. The name marks 1988, the year the club turned Dubai's desert sand into the Middle East's first all-grass championship course.

Large windows give it a calmer, more scenic setting than most city cafés, and the chocolate program matches the weight of the Alléno name behind it.
