Glitter Gulch Tiki

★ 4.5 · 277 reviews Las Vegas Opened 12 July 2024

A tiki temple built by the trade's own cathedral architect

Bamboo Ben Bassham and his son Blake built this one, which in tiki circles is the equivalent of hiring a cathedral architect. The Mai Hands Tai'd, the Makula Retrograde and a Luau in Vegas run the list.

The team behind Nacho Daddy opened it on North Fourth Street on 12 July 2024. Burlesque nights and a rotating events calendar keep the room busier than most downtown cocktail bars manage.

We had a great experience at Glitter Gulch Tiki! The food and cocktails were both excellent. The wings were our favorite—crispy, flavorful, and definitely a must-order. The tacos are huge and generously filled, and the shrimp tacos were especially delicious. They also have a huge selection of cocktails, so there's something for everyone. The fun tiki atmosphere makes it a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and try some creative drinks. We'll definitely be back!

Made it a mission to go to as many tiki bars in vegas as possible and this was my favorite by far. Very relaxed atmosphere. Easy to walk in and sit. Drinks were top notch loved the Hurricane Season and the scorpion bowl!! Nachos were a surprise, so damn good. I loved loved loved this place. The only reason i take one star off for atmosphere is because the music doesn't have that retro tiki feel but everything else was so amazing it didn't bother me.

Probably the overall best tiki bar we went to in Vegas. Top-tier cocktails, especially the Jamaican Old Fashioned and the dole whip ice cream cocktails. The food was also great, especially the nachos and tacos. Great service and great atmosphere. The only thing to criticise was the music, which didn't really fit the tiki vibe, but everything else was so awesome it's easy to overlook some dud tunes. Highly recommended!

This little gem is delicious! Boyfriend and I were enjoying Freemont and squirreled off for a drink and wound up in here and had some drinks and the Bangkok nachos! They were SO good we came back for more a few days later. The pricing is super reasonable - cocktails are standard at around $18-20 depending but the food was so well priced. $8.50 for nachos and it was a reasonable sized portion.

What a great find, and this is now my favourite bar in the area! The decor is superb, the staff are fantastic and the vibe is really fun, whether you’re on your own sat at the bar, or within a group in one of the many well decorated booths. The drink menu is large and the cocktails come well presented. Surprisingly the prices aren’t too bad for the quality of service and presentation, so if you’re looking for something a little different I’d highly recommend and I’ll be back next time I’m in the area!
