Small-production wines picked by Dan Dawson

Skip the tasting-room crowds. This downtown Napa shop hunts down small-production and hard-to-find bottles, hand-picked by owner Dan Dawson and his staff, from Napa and well beyond, at every price point.

The wine bar service is on hold for now, so it's strictly browse-and-buy, with staff happy to steer you. Right next door to Chispa, open daily from 10am into the evening.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable! There’s a huge selection of wines to choose from. The vibe is very chill. We would definitely come back when we visit Napa again.

Very knowledgeable staff, great selection of wines both domestic and imports as well as spirits. Something for all budgets in a very relaxed environment.

Wonderful wine store! The folks that run it are so kind and knowledgeable. Browse on your own or describe what you’re looking for and receive super helpful, non judgmental guidance.

I was having some difficulty placing an order online. I called the wine store directly and they were able to quickly solve my issue. I have been to Back Room Wines on trips to Napa. Their staff has always been very friendly and helpful and the wine selection and staff recommendations have been excellent. I look forward to ordering from them in the future.

We had a great time at Back Room Wines. Mike was very knowledgeable and provided us a tasting of a few local cabs. Definitely my go-to place for a variety of wines in Napa.
