The Milan Lounge, cleaned up and pouring $13 cocktails

The Milan Lounge served this Uptown corner for close to a century before closing in spring 2025. John Michael Rowland, who owns The Husky and Pigeon and Whale on Freret, bought it and reopened around Christmas 2025 as Soon Enough.

He calls it a high dive. The nicotine-stained walls are gone, the cocktails are $13, and some of the old regulars have not forgiven him. The room itself still looks like a neighbourhood bar, which is the point.

Amazing drinks for the price both traditional and Tiki style. Loved the bottles on hand and the use of quality spirits most of all. Staff was VERY friendly and tho very busy early evening they hustled hard both visits to satisfy the crowds. I went twice in a 5 day span and look forward to my next visit, the bar staff and drinks are great and made for a great visit, thank you.

I have lived here for the past 6 years and I’ve been here. Ismael was our bartender. My buddy Chris brought me here and he loves this drink. The ac is broken and we still enjoyed the perfect cocktail. Thank you (:

Delicious drinks with an up eat vibe. They had a tiki pop up for the summer and they totally transformed the place. Drinks were amazing we will be back!
