AMP'd Guitar Den
★ 5.0 · 17 reviews Orlando Opened July 2026
A small guitar shop with its own repair bench
Guitars, basses and pedals line the shelves, some new and some pulled in used or refurbished. The stock stays short on purpose, not a wall of identical Strats. A rack of vinyl rounds out the room.
The other half of the business is the repair bench: setups, fretwork, wiring, electronics. Orlando lost most of its independent music shops over the years, and Mills 50 just got one back.
Good to know
- They do setups, fretwork, wiring and electronics in-house, worth asking about before buying elsewhere.
- There is a vinyl section, small but not an afterthought.

Walked into AMP’d Guitar Den today even though I’m a drummer, which already felt like trespassing in a neighboring kingdom. 😂 The space is absolutely killer - part workshop, part gear temple, part place where you could accidentally lose two hours talking about tone, old amps, strange pedals, and why one guitar somehow “feels haunted.” William was incredibly welcoming, knew his stuff, and made the whole place feel less like a retail shop and more like a proper musician’s den. You can tell this place was built by people who actually care about instruments, players, and the weird little obsessions that keep musicians up at night. I may not know what half the knobs do, but I know a great music shop when I walk into one. AMP’d is the real deal. 🍄

I saw a video my buddy Renee’ put on line about a new place called AMP’d Guitar Den. I was getting ready to restring my 1990’s Heartfield ( by Fender ) and thinking about switching from Flat wound to Round wound strings. When I called, the lady on the phone was attentive, knowledgeable and very patient with an old bassist. I explained my situation and she said no problem. Bring it in, we’ll get you setup. I asked about some kind of device to install that would keep track of my Battery charge level and warn me before it dies. They found a battery monitoring system that installs on the Battery Door and will start glowing when the battery starts dying. They restrung, reset, readjusted and setup my bass beautifully with round wound strings and even saved the old ones in my case. The Bass looks and feels like a new guitar. I’m getting used to the crisper sound and love the action. The price was very reasonable. Take it from an old guy…when you find a place like this, make it your Go-To shop. I’ve had repairs, restringing and bought new and used gear all over the country and up through Canada. This place is as good or much better than all of them !!!

Man, do I love a good guitar store. The team here has it 100% right. All the gear. All the vibes. Welcoming as can be. Some great deals to be scored too. Can't wait to make it back.

So glad to finally have a small family-owned guitar business near my house that I can support! Everyone who works here is so nice and the atmosphere is phenomenal! Whether you are in the market for a high end guitar, or just need a few cables and such, this is the place to go. They’re also open to customers trying out the guitars and jamming out. I will definitely be a regular here from now on!

Couldn’t have had a better experience buying my first guitar! Willy is the man, and made it a very memorable purchase. Great guitars at great prices and even better service. Highly recommend checking it out!
