A Minas bakery institution finally hits the coast
The alfajores and postre chajá that built a following in Lavalleja since 1898 are now a short walk from the beach. Confitería Irisarri's Punta del Este shop, its first outside Minas, sits on the corner of Pedragosa Sierra and San Ciro.
Beyond the pastry counter there's house-made pasta and a coffee bar, open daily from 8am to 9pm. It's the bakery's third location ever, and the owners are betting big on this one alone outselling both Minas shops combined in 2026.
