Hilltop cocktails over Port Vila's harbour, sunset only, Thursday to Saturday

Come for the view, not the schedule. Stone Lounge sits directly above The Stonegrill Restaurant on a hilltop overlooking Port Vila's harbour, and it only opens Thursday through Saturday evenings, timed for sunset rather than a nightly grind.

The cocktail list has range and the presentation holds up, but the setting does most of the work here. Regulars say it feels like it's floating above the town. Both bar and restaurant moved to this hilltop site at the start of 2026.

Good to know

Open Thursday to Saturday only, roughly 4:30pm to late.
Come for sunset; the hilltop spot is the whole point.

What a delightful, unexpected find! We love exploring little cocktail bars when visiting other countries. Stone Lounge is one of our best ever discoveries - on the surface the venue looks pretty so-so but the staff are incredible with great banter flowing as strongly as the drinks! They are what made our evening so magical- a fun, shared experience with the other guests when usually you keep to your own groups at such places. We adored the vibe. Oh and the cocktails are magic (and strong!) especially the Lick Me Til I Scream - dessert in cocktail form 😍

Ended an evening after the Stone Grill with drinks at the Stone Louge (next door to the Stone Grill). Lovely atmosphere, music and great drinks. Run by Lilly and a small team of well trained and friendly staff. Was my partners birthday and they made her feel special with a birthday cocktail (candle included). Happy to recommend and will definitely come again when next in Vila.

Stone Lounge (located next to the famous Stone Grill Restaurant) owned and operated by the wonderfully vibrant Lilly and her team. What a fun, vibey place to hang out and enjoy fabulous cocktails while listening to easy music and enjoying the conversation. Highly recommend!!

Loveddd the stone lounge! Owner Lily is a VIBE! they had the magical forest night tonight, everyone was dressed so beautifully and the cocktail of the week was fantastic! Lilly is the best host and makes you feel so welcome on arrival! We had dinner at the Stone Grill Bar and Restaurant next door and got our cocktails from the stone lounge - they brought them over to you at the restaurant no worries at all. Thanks for having us! When I’m back in port Villa you’ll definitely see me again! Can’t wait to come join the fun! Bonus they have a pool too!
