The Nest Café opened in April 2026 in Bradfield. It's a garden café serving breakfast and lunch all day. Weekend brunch fills up fast. A food truck on the same grounds handles the overflow and anyone after a quick takeaway.

What brings people back is mostly consistency: the same plate, done the same way, most days of the week. This part of Bulawayo has few sit-down cafés to begin with, and that's enough to make it a regular stop, for solo coffee runs and small group lunches alike.

What a find on Hillside Road. The Nest Café lives up to its name , nestled in the jacaranda-shaded grounds of the Zimbabwe Academy of Music, just behind the ZITF. Aloes and greenery frame the garden seating, and their fresh cream doughnut was every bit as good as it looked. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu.
