Mainbrace Restaurant & Pub

Fish and chips under 1780s dockyard beams
Mainbrace fills the Copper and Lumber Store, a brick warehouse the Royal Navy built in the late 1780s to hold ship fittings. It's a boutique inn now, but the pub kept the original ceiling beams and stone floor. Courtyard tables face the dockyard's stone quay, where tall ships tie up during Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta.
The kitchen sticks to pub standards: burgers, fish and chips, a few Caribbean plates. It's one of the only spots in the dockyard serving breakfast from 7:30am.

I visited the restaurant/bar multiple times during my stay, and it quickly became a highlight of the trip. The atmosphere was great, the drinks were consistently excellent, and the overall experience kept me coming back. What really stood out, though, was Tony’s service. He went above and beyond every time—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what he does. On top of that, his taste in music added such a fun, relaxed vibe to the space. Tony truly made each visit memorable, and he’s a big reason I’d return again.

Breakfast was good! Highly recommend the chicken and waffles. However, a bit more pricey than expected. But still worth it! Sitting outside in the fresh breeze of the islands and a view of the harbour was really lovely!

I would have agree with other Google reviews that the cost of the food and drink does not align with the quality or service. It does appear that this is even the case in US dollars. The food was decent but not anything special. As a Canadian, this would price me out of returning to this place in the future. I fully understand that these locations are solely dependent on tourist income but it's makes it difficult to support them if they price themselves out of the market. This is just my perspective, I could be the exception here and the restaurant does just fine with the guests that dine here. The views from the patio are quite nice.

Quite pricey (USD10 for a bottle of San Pellegrino), but good quality. I had the vegan crispy tofu bowl which was excellent. Service friendly and professional. Food was a bit slow to arrive (30+ mins from ordering with only six covers), but the location is so beautiful and it was well worth the wait. Nice quiet spot with grackle birds swooping in the breeze.

Food are not bad. The environment is nice. But the service does not match its price tag.
