Grab a table with your toes basically in the sand and settle in. Beachlimerz runs a bistro-bar right on Fort James Beach, a short drive from downtown St. John's, built for long seafood lunches that drift into evening drinks.

It closed for a stretch, then reopened with the same beachfront setup. Lunch and dinner run Wednesday through Sunday, and it's still one of the steadier seafood picks near the capital.
