Café Baritú

Actual Argentine-grown coffee, for once

Most Argentine cafés pour imported beans. Baritú doesn't: the coffee here is grown in the yungas of Salta province, a few hours from the cup you're drinking.

The room is beside the point. Come for the sourcing, then buy a bag of the beans to take home from Zuviría 606.

Sandwiches were okay but took a while for everyone to get their coffees. Nice atmosphere in pretty building.

Beautiful place, super classic and peaceful. The prices are very reasonable. The Baritú alfajor was delicious, and I especially appreciate that they have loose-leaf tea instead of tea bags. Definitely a lovely and peaceful spot. I highly recommend their Baritú tea and the cake too; everything tastes great. I also appreciate that they have outlets for using your laptop or charging your phone; it's very convenient and quiet.

What a beautiful place! I went on a Thursday at 5 pm. The atmosphere was so relaxed. Pleasing to the eyes and the nose (the aroma of coffee and cinnamon mingled). There's seating inside or outside. I chose a super comfortable little armchair. I ordered a coffee with milk and a slice of the house cake (chocolate cake with two fillings: dulce de leche and coffee): everything was delicious. The coffee with milk was served in a proper coffee with milk cup! The restrooms were unisex, spacious, and spotless.

The service was excellent. We went there specifically because the coffee they serve is produced in Argentina. We felt it might have been over-extracted, or perhaps the roast was too dark, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The Flat White was very good. The croissants were delicious, as were the sandwiches. The waiters were very friendly, and the place is very cozy.
