Great selection of wine that’s always being updated ranging from accessible local drops to hard-to-get one of a kinds for a special occasion, amazing cheese platters, a comfortable space, with top notch staff on hand to talk you through whatever you need to make your experience that little bit more special. Ian and the team make you feel like part of the family, whether you’re there for one glass on your way to dinner or have settled in for the afternoon on a Sunday.

Fabulous gem in the East End of Adelaide and the perfect spot for a cheese board and wine in between the Illuminate experiences. Fabulous decor and atmosphere . Our only minor complaint - but at no fault of the establishment was the next table of 4 women who were literally shouting. Once they left we were very comfortable. The Fiano we were recommended was thoroughly delicious as were all of the cheeses. We will be back

Septimus was one of those rare places that completely exceeded our expectations and raised the bar for every small wine bar we visited afterwards. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming without ever feeling formal. The wine list isn’t extensive, but it’s exceptionally well curated, offering a thoughtful selection that showcases quality over quantity. We shared the cheese platter with a fresh baguette and French butter, and every element was clearly chosen with great care. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, it was a simple meal executed to perfection. You can genuinely feel the passion behind this place. From the food and wine to the atmosphere and attention to detail, everything reflects the heart and soul that’s gone into creating it. It was a privilege to spend an afternoon here, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Adelaide.

What a gem, disappointed I didn’t come here sooner! Came here for a few drinks on Saturday night and it was fantastic, friendly staff, great food/drinks and great atmosphere. Can’t imagine how nice it would be to sit outside during the summer! We ordered one of the larger charcuterie boards and not only was it delicious, the amount of food you get for what you pay is great. Some of the best value down the East End I reckon. Wine list was also fantastic. Thank you so much for having us, cannot wait to come back!

Quiet Sunday afternoon on a tree-lined street with good wine and a charcuterie board- not too shabby. Everything about Septimus is amazing from the wine selection to the service. Highly, highly recommended.
