Japanese breakfast and lunch on Hindley Street

Nothing else on this stretch of Hindley Street does what Yuku Do does. Small room, fast turnover, Japanese-leaning breakfast and lunch that stands out on a strip that used to have nothing like it.

Both Broadsheet and CityMag named it among Adelaide's best new cafes this year, and it earns the hype. Just know it shuts by mid-afternoon, so get there early.

Amazing coffee and food! The Butterscotch Cloud and Toffee Apple Americano were both 10/10. The onigiri were all great, especially the Tuna Onigiri. The Tonkatsu Sando was also delicious. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

My university ritual spot! I always get the Signature Hojicha whisked with white chocolate—perfectly rich and creamy. Sometimes I change it up with the Earl Grey Matcha, and that blend is incredible. It’s a bit pricier than other places, and I do wish the portion sizes were a tad bigger. But overall, still a solid 10/10!

I don't work in this area of the CBD so this lunch visit was quite a walk - and it was worth it! Generously sized onigiri that were delicious, fluffy egg sando and a juicy tonkatsu sando. No wonder it was so crowded!

Decided to try out the cute little cafe near my campus that I had heard lots of good things about, unfortunately it didn’t hit the spot. Coffee was burnt, hojicha latte has white chocolate in there which not fully dissolved really put it off for me due to the texture and I prefer the natural bitterness and roastiness of the tea itself. The only saver was the iced matcha which delivered the strong note of grassy and umami. The shop was packed and ran with only two employees, that might explain the failed drinks. Hopefully we could have a better experience next time.

Have been many times for different drinks and I love them all. Their matcha is just delicious, worth the extra cost. They do good coffee as well as other drinks. Plenty of japanese style snacks and sandos to choose from. Does get busy at peak coffee time and hard to get a spot to sit down.
