The reason Brighton finally has somewhere to eat
Brighton has money and not much cooking worth the trip. Baix changed that, and Broadsheet agreed, naming it one of the year's fourteen best new Melbourne restaurants.
It shares 81 Bay Street with the 81 Bay bar. Middle Brighton station is a short walk away, and if the dining room's full, the bar side takes walk-ins.

Went here with 5 of us and had an amazing time, Jack and the rest of the staff that served us and were very friendly and informative. The wine selection was top tier, we had 2 different reds that were sensational. Can’t go wrong with Italian! definitely a place worth visiting. 🙌🏽

The food was nice here. However as soon as they got even a bit busier, we felt like a second thought and were left waiting for 30 mins between main & dessert, without even an offer for a drink refill. It is such a shame, as our experience started so well. Not in a hurry to revisit.

Baix is an incredible restaurant located on bay street. It has a wonderful set menu and great variety. The service was great, and they were very friendly! The food was great and paired with nice wines. Overall a great experience!

Loved this restaurant. The food and the atmosphere were great. The dishes were full of flavour and beautifully presented. I’d highly recommend the steak. Desserts were top-tier as well.

Great little neighbourhood haunt - just what Brighton needs. Beautiful setting, great wine list and solid by the glass options with fantastic dishes.
