The closest thing George Town has to an art scene

The gallery has hosted travelling shows from the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas, including a 2017 exhibition on Bahamian sloop painting, alongside the handmade bags, paintings and island decor it sells day to day.

Wendy Cartwright runs Wenshua out of a space on Queen's Highway, and it's still the closest thing George Town has to a dedicated art scene. Before it opened, visitors looking for original work by Out Islands artists had almost nowhere to look on Exuma.
