KAAS
★ 4.9 · 81 reviews Namur Opened 2025
Up to 140 cheeses, one shop, in Namur's old town.
KAAS opened on Rue du Collège in early 2025, a dedicated cheese shop in Namur's pedestrian core stocking between 90 and 140 cheeses at a time, all sourced from small producers.
It closes Sundays and Mondays, the two days when the rest of the old town's food shops are busiest, so it runs more like a specialist's schedule than a tourist stop.

It's very good, however, the selection of Gouda is limited and the one we tried wasn't up to par with the other cheeses on offer. It would be great to add different varieties, such as smoked Gouda. That would be an excellent addition.

The cheese platter was delicious! The Oude Gueze wasn't really to my taste, but it tasted as promised. The atmosphere was great, and speaking English wasn't a problem at all. I'd gladly come again.

Passing through Namur, we stopped at the Kaas cheese shop to pick up some typical Belgian cheeses. The shop is very well laid out with beautiful cheeses, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we received excellent advice. A very nice cheese shop! It's great!

This gem is the first address for cheese in Wallonia, probably Belgium. Ask the competent and charismatic owners for recommendations.
