Copper, silver and ceramics, all made by name

Skip the printed t-shirts. This Calle Sucre shop, right next to Gato Gordo and three minutes from the plaza, deals only in handmade copper, silver, bronze and ceramic pieces from local artisans. Each one comes from a named maker, not a wholesale supplier.

That's why prices run higher than the stalls near El Fuerte. The shop also links travelers to short local experiences and a couple of cabins for rent, run more like a community project than a straight retail spot. Worth the detour even if you're not buying.

  The best restaurent in town. Just open for lunch time! For 25bs, you get a very good soup, an amazing and creative meal and an incredible juice.

  They have a very nice vegetarian lunch menu for 20 bls. The food was amazing. The chef was kind enough to explain us all the dishes. The bread they serve is super good and service excellent.
