Books, wine and pastry in a fifty-year-old house
A bookshop, a pâtisserie, art on the walls and a wine list, all under one roof in Três Figueiras. It shouldn't work as one place, but the old house gives it room to breathe.
Afternoons are quiet, good for browsing shelves with a coffee. Evenings turn into something else entirely, wine glasses replacing books on the tables.

The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and beautiful for an afternoon coffee, although the sandwich gave me some heartburn after a few hours; it was very good at the time. The service from the girls at the coffee station was great.

Books and coffee, the perfect combination! I recommend it. Besides good coffee, you can also see works of art on site!

The highlight is definitely the atmosphere and the curation of the books, which is excellent! The wine cellar, with its good selection of wines, also deserves mention. However, I wish I had read the reviews about the café's sweets before the experience, which left something to be desired. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but they will need to remodel the café. Although the presentation of the sweets was eye-catching, they weren't tasty, they were heavy, and they left us feeling nauseous. The coffee itself, a Cortado, was good. Managing a café is no easy task, but I hope they can improve, as they have a place with potential.

The bookstore is beautiful, the catalog is amazing, the service is great, but the prices are a little overpriced. Still, it's worth a visit because some of the books in the collection are hard to find. The coffee shop has a very cozy space, the prices are ok. The cortado coffee was very good. The cheese bread was ok. However, we decided to order the most expensive sweets (and they are expensive!) on the menu. Besides being extremely cloying, you could tell they were stale. Obviously, we didn't finish them. I left feeling nauseous. 4 stars for the bookstore, 2 for the coffee shop.

A beautiful place. An excellent collection of books (there are works that go beyond the common sense of airport bookstores) and very interesting. A beautiful green patio and a very tasteful café (I didn't get to stay in the café, but it's very inviting to spend pleasant hours there). Much success to you and long life to the Universos bookstore.
