All-in on dosas in south Edmonton

Most Indian menus in Edmonton treat dosa as one line item under a longer North Indian list. Dosa Glory flips that: the whole menu is built around South Indian dosas, with varieties that go way past the plain and masala versions everyone already knows.

It's a small, counter-style room, no frills, just a griddle doing serious work. Order a few different dosas between two people and compare.

We ordered paneer dosa and it was good but paneer was less and potatoes were more! Sambar taste delicious

New South Indian setup in town. Fairly standard decor and not over done ambiance. Good seating option with generally good space between seats. Food was good, generally not disappointing, but in my opinion lacked the flavour kick one normally expects in South Indian cuisine. Dish size was good and overall good value for money. Service was friendly and professional. Overall a good experience.

This is a South Indian restaurant with a great atmosphere, beautiful interior, and very helpful staff at Chandni. Price is reasonable We went for dinner and ordered several dishes: • Chicken Lollipop – 10/10 Excellent flavor and taste. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered another serving. • Egg Cheese Dosa – 10/10 Creamy egg with great flavor. The sambar had an authentic Madras-style taste with perfectly balanced seasoning. • Goat Kothu Parotta – 6/10 Decent dish, but could be improved. It had fewer vegetables than expected, and the extra gravy made it a bit sticky. • Chai – 6/10 ☕ Needs improvement in flavor. • Coffee – 5/10 ☕ Also needs improvement. Overall, it was a good dining experience with a few standout dishes. The Chicken Lollipop and Egg Cheese Dosa were definitely the highlights.

Our family used to come for years to Kathir, the restaurant that was in this space prior to Dosa Glory. But we all agreed that Dosa Glory was a great change: the dosas are huge and crispy, the plating of each dish was spot on, and the chana masala was the best we'd tasted in years. So they are doing something great and we hope they'll be around for a long time to come.

We recently visited Dosa Glory on 34 Avenue in Edmonton and had a wonderful dining experience. We ordered the dosa, tiffin idly-vada combo, dahi vada, and filter coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served at the right temperature. The service was equally impressive. The staff served the appetizers first, followed by the main course without any delay. They also checked in to make sure we were enjoying the food and refilled our water glasses promptly throughout the meal. Great food, attentive service, and a pleasant dining experience. We will definitely be back and would happily recommend Dosa Glory to anyone looking for authentic South Indian cuisine in Edmonton.
