Pan-Asian izakaya food with no interest in tradition

Toridori treats tradition as optional, pan-Asian cooking run through an izakaya format with no particular loyalty to any one country's rulebook. It opened at Queen's Marque in January 2025, inside a run of restaurants that has turned this block into the city's densest strip for dining.

The patio opens in summer and is the better seat by a wide margin. Snacking late is really what the menu is built for, not a sit-down full meal.

What a great addition to the waterfront food scene! KFC cauliflower was out of this world. Super crunchy, with an amazing chili sauce for dipping. Pork Bao buns were fresh, and packed with flavour. Golden Shrimp dumpling was tasty, but not a standout for us - I would skip ordering this again. Finally, the Shanxi Lamb Slap Noodles were above expectations. Spicy (but you can get it less/not spicy), fresh vegetables, an amazing noodle that we had never had before, and the lamb was flavourful and tender. Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was unique and fun.

Good place for Asian food. Food is delicious and café munu is not matching if you go through the online menu. Still you can get better Food if you love Asian food. Very closer to waterfront food outlets. Spacious place where they can accommodate a larger groups also. Servers are are all young.

We were a party for 10 today and we wanted to try this place. The beef rendang and lamb slap noodles were delicious. The dumpling dishes maintained the authentic Chinese flavour. We rice ice cream were amazing! Ling, our waiter was super friendly and very detail oriented. She took care of our table. The manager Queen was also very nice and helpful. Great ambiance in the restaurant and the location of the restaurant was very well situated. We all had a great experience and I would say it’s the amazing service that stood out

Finn was our server and his recommendations were very welcome and amazing! We enjoyed the chicken wings, mango salad, potstickers and pork steamed buns. All were amazing. It was my husband's birthday and he brought out his favorite sorbet for us to try. Such a great experience all around!

My son took me here on a whim. He said he has been here before with friends, and wanted to try again with his mom. We ordered lamb slap noodles and green bean with garlic braised beef stripes as an appetiser. The portions were very large, we couldn't even finish. The noodles were great with tasty sauce, and fresh veges. Where the beef braised beef with green beans were very fresh and i enjoyed eating our food with chopsticks. It was cold as we were ditting outside with fresh cold air by the sea. We loved it. I might come and bring my husband here.
