An Italo Montréal wine bar with a punk streak
Maison Close pours dry mineral whites and glou-glou reds under neon, cheap snacks alongside them and a punk sensibility that suits Hochelaga.
Open Tuesday to Saturday from five. Nothing on the menu runs expensive, and that's deliberate.

What a unique find, we could not be happier with our night. Friendly, courteous, informative, entertaining, good music and I haven't even started on the food yet. We were all thoroughly satisfied and impressed by everything we ate, from the focaccia with the buratta to the beef tartare and the pastas, it was amazing. Then we had the great wine selection presented by our knowledgeable waiter Pascal, who is also the chef, can't say enough good things about him, you can see how much he loves what he does. Finally the price is more then fair, paid for 3 what I often pay for 2 in other good restaurants.

Friendly service. Excellent beef tartare if you like foie gras. Enjoyed the two recommended bottles. The rock music wasn't anything I recognized but it was a vibe.

absolute gem of a restaurant. the service was as amazing as the food. we made sure to savour every bite as it felt each dish was made with so much care. incredible tuna crudo, burrata + asparagus, calabrese eggs (with the focaccia), agnolotti, and tiramisu. love the atmosphere! will be back. ❤️

New favorite discovery in Hochelaga! The food was very tasty. I’d recommend the burrata & asparagus appetizer and the pork dish. We also tried a delicious truffle tiramisu. I will go back again to try more of their wide wine selection! The deco is cool and the resto feels intimate and cozy.

Maisonclose was one of the most fresh, carefully curated & thoughtfully presented meal I’ve had in a long time. Chef pascal is really knowledgeable of his menu, & the food was fresh, home made & absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is thoughtfully curated, and the kitchen is in the dining room, so seeing your fresh meal coming to life was such a cool part of the experience. Seriously, go here if you’re in Montreal. I’ll be coming back next time I’m here. This is a hidden gem that won’t break your wallet!! Highlights were the Agnolotti & the calabrese eggs
