Seven stalls, seven food trucks, one empty hotel reborn on Aníbal Pinto

A specialty café, a pasta spot and a Chilean-food stall are already locked in for this new food patio a few steps from Plaza de la Independencia. Seven fixed stalls and seven food-truck spots will circle a central seating area and covered terrace, aiming to open late August or early September 2026.

The building was a hotel owned by founder Nicolás Cruces's family, left empty since the 2019 unrest. Rebuilding it is a roughly 117-million-peso bet on bringing this stretch of downtown Concepción back to life.
