A stripped-back cocktail room from bartender Marino Karinja
Marino Karinja opened KOI in late April 2025 in the Ribnjak space that used to hold Papagaj, a longtime neighborhood cafe. He gutted the room and rebuilt it with a minimalist look, nothing left of the old cafe's character.
It's open Tuesday to Sunday from 4pm, with a rotating weekly special next to the core cocktail list. Karinja's name in Zagreb's bar scene has already brought a steady crowd of industry regulars through the door.

Looking for a cocktail bar outside the touristic center but not too far? -->This is your choice! The menu is not long but all cocktails we had were really great! Cozy atmosphere close to the city center with great drinks! The pornstar (variation of the classic pornstar martini but using rum instead of vodka) was soooo good!🤪

Hands down the best cocktail bar currently in Zagreb. Excellent service, perfectly balanced cocktails, a small, but varied cocktail list, and knowledgeable staff. If you're a millennial fart like me, though, my only recommendation would be to go during weekdays to avoid primarily Gen Z weekend crowds.

Dora took great care of me here, she was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable (plus really funny). Really interesting cocktail list and all executed very well.

Best coctails in town. Absolutely loved the whole experience, the staff was also very professional and polite. Special shoutout to the bartender Filip, he was extremely pleasant. :)
