Marelica opened on Petrinjska in 2024, walls painted with garden murals, menu built around all-day brunch, pastries and fresh-pressed juice instead of a breakfast rush that stops at noon. Open 9am to 7pm.

What sets it apart on a street packed with brunch spots is a proper ceremonial tea service, one of the few in Zagreb, right next to the smoothies and energy shots lining the rest of the counter.

Great little cafe! We paid €19 for an avocado toast, 2 espressos, and 1 macchiato. The avocado toast was surprisingly good, especially compared to the usual terrible ones in Zagreb 😂. Definitely recommend it!🍀

Beautiful interior, joyful colors, and a cozy atmosphere... 😍 Great selection of vegan food. I ate chia pudding with a banana, blueberries, and mint. After the pudding, I drank a tea mixture named "The Fountain of Youth". All was stylishly served. Also, great service. 👏 Location - the center of Zagreb, a few minutes' walk from the main square.

Marelica may not look particularly fancy from the outside, but once you step in, you are welcomed by a very warm and pleasant atmosphere. The selection of food is well balanced, and both the sandwiches and smoothies are excellent—fresh, tasty, and well prepared. However, the real highlight for me was the cappuccino: beautifully presented, great taste, and clearly made with care. On top of that, the service was very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Zagreb.

A wonderful little hidden gem off the beaten track in Zagreb. Well worth the short walk from the city centre for outstanding coffee and great food. Brunch/lunch/light-bites that are all Instagram worthy, coupled with friendly service.
