Vinyl records, martinis and caviar in a 1930s-style room at Hôtel Martinez

Martinez Bar reopened on March 14, 2025, inside Hôtel Martinez, in a room designed by Rémi Tessier around a wall of rare vinyl records. Chef Jean Imbert built the menu around martinis, caviar and sharing plates, and DJs or live musicians play Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm. In July and August the schedule stretches to Wednesday through Saturday.

Imbert already carries weight in French dining, and here he gave the hotel's Art Deco history a bar program to match. Outside peak season it opens Tuesday to Saturday, 6pm to 2am, drawing people who aren't staying at the hotel at all.

Amazing bar. Sub par service. A disgrace for the Martinez /Hyatt in particular and Cannes overall. I was told I 'could not keep the menu after ordering a tea, because there was only 5 menus for the whole bar' 🙄. I wanted to check for a nice XO cognac 🥃 to go with my tea. Not possible. Apparently. Get your act together please. Train your staff and maybe spend 50 euros to print more menus.

This bar is a must if you are visiting Cannes. Opened in 1929 this bar has a beautiful retro atmosphere inside. Sleek wood details, just the right lighting and of course magnificent drinks. I usually enjoy an Old Fashioned, but the group i was with recommended a house special jumanji. Rum and Amaretto for sure with a few secret ingredients to make it extra special. Very refreshing cocktail on a warm day. The presentation of the drink includes a bit of a performance! Regardless if you staying at St. Martinez Hotel or somewhere else be sure to enjoy a cocktail at this historic bar!

Nice, classic place. The clientele is very let’s say cosmopolitan, to be polite. One negative comment from my side is as follows : I have ordered a whiskey sour as a classic. The drink came with no ice, no egg foam, not a classic. Although the taste was good, I should have been informed that the classic is NOT served as classic. Anyways be there before 22:00 unless you know the staff. Overall nice place, definitely worth visiting.
