Chez Moe
★ 4.7 · 196 reviews Marseille Opened July 2024
Specialty coffee by day, natural wine by night, right at the Panier's gates
Chez Moe opened on Grand'Rue in summer 2024, run by Mohcène Zaïgouche in the space that once held his mother's tea salon, right at the entrance to the Panier district. Mornings and afternoons it pours beans from Marseille roastery Brûlerie Möka, plus Japanese-inflected iced coffees and matcha. Come evening, the same room turns into a natural wine bar.
Grand'Rue is in the middle of a slow shift, with newer, design-minded openings moving into a street long ruled by traditional shops. Chez Moe's day-to-night switch gives this edge of the Panier a spot that works for a morning espresso or an evening glass just as well.

I enjoyed my time and oat macchiato at this cute little coffee shop. I recommend sitting on the bench; it has a nice view if you enjoy people-watching.

Oh my goodness- by far the best tasting espresso I have had in all of Marseille. Perfect, and lovely outdoor seating too.

Cute coffee shop/wine bar. They were out of pet nat and olives (😔), but the orange wine was still delicious.
