A basement collective of Georgian artists, not a designer's shop

Skip the souvenir strip and duck into this basement on Simon Janashia Street instead. A collective of local artists and small workshops runs the place, not one designer, so you'll find hand painted ceramics, cushions, bags, mirrors, bottles and printed T-shirts, all made in Georgia.

The style leans avant-garde over folk craft. Pieces borrow Georgian motifs and twist them into something odder, which is what sets it apart from the shops lining the rest of Vera. The room is tiny and stock turns over fast, so two visits rarely look the same.

Good to know

It is a basement space just off Melikishvili, look for the stairs down rather than a shopfront.
Open 11:30-20:00; they ship anywhere in Georgia.
