Vegetarian and vegan kitchen and bar on Görlitzer Straße

Bloom opened at the end of February 2026 as a vegetarian and vegan restaurant that doubles as a bar. Stop in for just a beer or cocktail, or stay for a full meal. The short, clearly labeled menu runs from a beet-kvass take on Ukrainian borscht to pumpkin cream soup, vegetable pasta with pesto and beans, and crêpes suzette for dessert.

Closed Monday and Tuesday, open the rest of the week from late afternoon.

This exceptional little restaurant brought me back twice in a four day trip to Dresden. The food, service and ambiance were just that good, that in a neighbourhood of great choices, I just wanted this place! I had the burger/fries on the first day, and that may seem like a pedestrian pleasure, but it was complex, thoughtfully crafted and delicious. So next time I went for a more grown-up fish: the ravioli with a starter "Bloom Platter" to share. There was just so much good happening here, the chef knows what they are up to! Both nights the servers were attentive and amusing, the drinks were well-chosen (local beers, local wines, classic cocktails with a twist). Anyway, you get the idea: this is a very fine little restaurant. And it's vegetarian to boot, but that doesn't even matter, the food stands out on its own.

What a wonderful restaurant for plant forward meals. I loved the Chef's creative seasonal food offerings, the staff attentiveness and relaxing atmosphere so much that I ate here twice during my 3 days in Dresden. This is 'a gotta eat here' place.

Really great food, very nice atmosphere, sincere, easy going, attentive service. All dishes are vegetarian or vegan. Most dishes can be made vegan. Very highly recommended.
