The Secret opened in October 2024 as the in-house bar of Hotel am Rathaus on Rathausgasse, right in Freiburg's old town. Low lighting, low seating and a cocktail list split between classics and house creations set the mood.
Hotel guests share the room with walk-ins from five in the afternoon onward.

Great atmosphere in a hotel bar. Prices are reasonable and fair. Many Martini variations between €10 and €12, plus gin and tonics, wines, and cocktails/mocktails. Very stylishly furnished for a relaxing time. Somewhat hidden away on a side street and an upper floor.

I went to this bar with a friend and we felt very comfortable from the start. We were served by a young woman who was friendly, attentive, and in good spirits. The service was truly outstanding. The drinks were also very good and served quickly. Overall, a great evening, especially thanks to the excellent service. We'll definitely be back!
