Germany's largest cat café, with a fully vegan kitchen
Around a hundred seats between Michel, Planten un Blomen and the Landungsbrücken, and every one of the resident cats is a rescue from street colonies in Cyprus, placed through the welfare organisation CopCats rather than bought or bred.
The kitchen runs entirely vegan, breakfast, burgers, bowls, sandwiches, salads, desserts and coffee, and it's also the chain's first fully cashless location, run by Aaron Kallus as the largest branch of Germany's cat-café franchise.

If you are vegan/vegeterian, this is the place for you in hamburg. Also even if you are not vegan/vegeterian, I would strongly suggest planted steak & fries.

Had a nice dinner date here. The people working service were chatty, lighthearted and friendly and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and warm. Love the all-veggie menu! Food isn't just presented nicely but also tastes great. Just be aware that the fuzzy guys don't try to jump onto your table. My partner and I fell in love with Toni (the gray cat) almost immediately, but all of them are very cute. Definetly recommended if you're ever in the area :)

We spontaneously decided to have breakfast at Katzentempel Holstenwall today with our two children. After a very short wait in the waiting area, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our tables. The friendly staff member then brought us the menus and explained a few things about how to handle our four-legged friends. The restaurant is modern and bright, with plenty of space for our six cats to run around and play. Katzentempel has a small, attractive, and well-organized menu with vegan options. The four of us shared the "furry friend" breakfast twice. It was delicious, especially the dips, banana bread, and peanut butter. Throughout our visit, both staff members provided excellent service and were very attentive to our children. We felt very welcome! A big thank you to the entire team at Katzentempel Holstenwall; we'll definitely be back!
