Bánh mì and Vietnamese coffee where Café Waldi used to be
Cavo moved into the old Café Waldi space on Peterssteinweg and swapped it for Vietnamese street food: bánh mì stuffed with pickled carrot and kohlrabi, plus pork, chicken or a vegan filling, alongside Vietnamese-style sweet coffee, iced matcha and lavender lemonade.
Open daily from morning to early evening, it pulls both a sit-down crowd and a steady stream of takeaway orders from the student blocks around Zentrum-Süd.

Cavo is easily my most visited cafe in Leipzig. The breakfast option is a complete bargain as you won‘t get anything so cheap, tasty and fresh at that price anywhere else. I always order the vegan bahn mi and it‘s always extreamly delicious! I am also a huge fan of their Earl grey cookies and Vietnamese coffee. In general the options in the cafe are well combined. The people working there are also very nice and helpful. Inside the cafe there are all kinds of diffrent sitting spots, especially nice are couches at the back but sitting in the open air during summer is also a great experience. Highly reccomended place!

Wonderful café with loads of light and seating. Laptop friendly, but no WiFi. Great vegan banh mi (huge!) and Vietnamese coffee
