Urban Latin cooking and margaritas on Leopoldstraße
Frida opened in 2026 on Leopoldstraße, moving into the space that Tex-Mex spot Tijuana held for years. The Gulati family, who also run Munich's Brusko grills, calls the menu here "urban Latin": tacos, guacamole and grilled plates built on bold, fresh flavors.
The bar leans heavily on rum and margarita variations, and there's a separate room set aside for exhibitions and events.

We tried the Taco Tuesday, so paid 20 euros for 3 tacos and 1 frozen margarita. Unfortunately the margarita had no alcohol (even if there was alcohol in it, it was impossible to taste it). The tacos were quite small as well. Everything in the menu is a bit overpriced other than the cocktail happy hour.

Very good Mexican food and friendly service. We had the mixed starters, carne asada and fajitas. All very delicious and generous portions. The whiskey sour was also well made. Overall definitely a recommendation.

Very good vibe, very yellow and very friendly staff. We had a very good time. I recommend this place for cocktails, latin tapas (and mains) and a great place to hang out in the summer. The food is simple and light, and something I’d look forward to on a sunny (or warm) day!

Very good and drinks! The staff is very friendly and helpful 🥂 I really recommend ! There’s also Spanish music in the background, making the atmosphere amazing
