Athidhi opened on Gablenberger Hauptstraße in August 2025, the fourth restaurant from a family-run South Indian chain already running in Heidelberg, Wiesloch and Karlsruhe. Chicken dum biryani anchors the menu, next to dosa crêpes the kitchen calls the best south Indian version in the city.

The dining room sits on the first floor, reached step-free by elevator, with parking in the building's underground garage.

One of the best authentic Hyderabadi Dum Biryanis I've had in Germany! Perfectly cooked, full of rich flavours, and true to the original taste. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine.

My experience was fabulous! We didn’t book and once we got there they offered us a table immediately. They had a very good looking buffet but we decided to order from the menu. The amount of food was generous and it was very tasty! The waiter recommended us about the spicy and the convenient amount to order and he was very professional and kind to us. The ambience was very quiet and pleasant too.

Great service, we arrived pretty late one night but they kindly served as all the south Indian specialities still which we know is difficult considering the griddle for dosas need to be cooled off. Service was great. Now comes the real star the food, fried idli, dosa, lamb biriyani, all top notch!! Stuttgart has many Indian restaurants but none like this so we really really needed this Stuttgart!! Would be frequenting now!

Had a wonderful buffet experience at the restaurant! Everything was delicious and well prepared. The highlight for me was the Karaikudi fish gravy — absolutely rich, flavorful, and too good. The mango lassi was also very refreshing and tasty. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent food and good service. Highly recommended!
