Syrian and Assyrian cooking on Krämerstraße

Old town Wismar isn't exactly stacked with Middle Eastern food, which makes Warda worth the detour. The menu mixes Syrian and Assyrian dishes with café standards, running all day from midday into evening.

Ashur Warda, who is Assyrian, spent years as a pizza maker and later sold cars before opening this place of his own. The dining room doubles as a daytime coffee stop, so it's easy to drop by for just a coffee or stay for a full plate.
