Industrial dining room off Androutsou, plates built for sharing

Exposed brick and low light instead of the white-tablecloth look most of the neighborhood goes for. Kovaltio runs a modern Mediterranean menu weighted toward plates meant for the middle of the table, not solo mains.

It sits a few doors from the older taverna row through Kazantzidika, so the contrast is the point: same street, a different decade of design. Book ahead on weekends, the tables nearest the open kitchen go first.
