Most bars on Lapithon lean on beer alone. Red Bricks Kitchen Pub backs its drinks list with an actual Mediterranean kitchen, which changes the whole night out. The list runs twenty wines, twenty tsipouro and forty beers, but food comes first here, not pub snacks as an afterthought.

Owner Antonis Melanos also runs Bier Center, which moved onto the same street right across from Red Bricks. The two sit close enough that people bounce between them on one night out, and Lapithon has quietly become the street locals name when asked where the city's newer bar scene lives.

Good to know

A pleasant surprise for Larissa. Very careful raw materials, large portions and incredibly well-cooked! I thought there were many choices in meat and seafood! Excellent wine and beer list. The appetizers with wine accompaniment (which are essential when you get a bottle regardless of the order) a big plus. And dessert! Excellent service and a very warm environment. Beautiful space inside but also outside for lunch and evening in nice weather. The combination with the space opposite is a very nice concept in this emblematic neighborhood. If the prices and quality stay the same, we don't need to go anywhere else! Restaurant, ouzo and bar, all in one!!!
