Grenada's first wine bar, poured from mango and soursop instead of grapes

Grenada makes rum, not wine, so this is a strange kind of first: fruit wine instead of grapes, with mango, soursop and other local produce pushed closer to real wine than a flavored cooler. The brand sold bottles for a while before opening its own storefront and tasting room in Springs.

The room is small, just a bar, a few seats and live steel pan on tasting nights. Flights let a table work through a dozen-plus fruit wines instead of committing to one bottle. It's a short drive up from the Carenage, near Andy's Soup House, so you can pair the two into one night out.

Good to know

  • The tasting flight runs through around 13 different fruit wines, a real way to sample the range in one sitting.
  • It's close to Andy's Soup House on Springs Main Road if you want to make an evening of the area.

My wine tasting experience at KaLipSo was absolutely AMAZING. I would highly recommend it. Bosco did a wonderful job of explaining his process, and the descriptions & flavors of the wine. He is so personable, knowledgeable, and hilarious. You can taste that the wines don’t have added sugars! WONDERFUL experience!
