Specialty coffee on the third floor of Hermo Vista Mall

Mister Cafe roasts and serves specialty coffee alongside pastries, chai and a matcha menu. It's on the third level of Hermo Vista Mall. It gave Chichicastenango something it didn't really have before: an indoor, air-conditioned cafe with mall hours.

It's a different experience from the market-district coffee shops built into colonial buildings. Hermo Vista draws a younger crowd than the market-day tourist trail, and Mister Cafe is where they end up.

Good to know

• Open 7am to 9pm, later than most cafes in the market district.
• The matcha menu is worth a look alongside the coffee.
