Ámbar
★ 4.8 · 40 reviews Copán Ruinas Opened Opening date unknown
A real chef's menu, hiding behind a hotel lobby.
Ámbar sits through the entrance of Hotel Don Moisés, right in the center of town, and chef Roberto Espinal runs a kitchen that skips the usual bar-food list. Weekend nights turn into dancing, with locals and backpackers headed to or from Guatemala filling the room.
There's a weekend brunch from 10am to 2pm if you want the calmer version. The entrance doesn't face the street, so just ask for Ámbar by name once you're near the plaza.
Good to know
- Weekend brunch runs 10am-2pm if you want it quieter than the nights.
- Enter through Hotel Don Moisés, it's not on the street directly.

Delicious cocktails, especially the mango daiquiri! Plus, they didn’t have a salad on the menu and said they could make it one for me. I could feel all the love they put, the salad was delicious and beautiful presentation. Strongly recommend.
