Hauz Khas Market has quietly rebuilt itself this past year. Soda Shopp, The Drop and Public Supply now sit within a few doors of each other, with Painkiller a floor above.

Soda Shopp keeps things easy and daytime-leaning, no big scene, just a good stop on the block. The whole strip is walkable end to end, so an afternoon here plans itself.

It’s quite underwhelming, as opposed to the incredibly high praises we saw on Instagram. Crowd management is almost terrible, as they were letting people in who came in after us. We were standing right in front of them, so they had to take us inside, ignoring everyone else who came before us as well. The food menu is pretty limited, so I wouldn’t suggest you go hungry. We had Cantonese heaven chicken, and it was bland (and expensive for the quantity they served us). I’d suggest, eat and then go if you wish to experience the ‘hype’. However, the twist on Kala Khatta and Aam was pretty nice.

Jemie was such a gem, great vibe throughout the 2-3 hours we spent in the place. A must-suggest for a girls day out or even a date, 100/10. Great food, Amazing drinks, even better vibe.

Perfectly balanced. 🥃 The Rule Breaker: bold, strong, and genuinely unique. Also somehow got 2 free shots, so I’m choosing to believe I’m the universe’s favorite for the day. 😂 Amazing food, creative cocktails, aesthetic menu, and such a great vibe. Can’t wait to go back. ⭐
